Aurora was banded along with a large group of kea in Arthur's Pass in mid September 2021. She was an adult and was also fitted with a transmitter to log her movements as part of a kea study. Aurora is named after an 8 year old that is super into science and nature – a future scientist in the making. Despite living in Hawaii she loves kea. Mahalo!
