Brodie was banded in September 2022 on the Milford Road. She was an adult at the time. Brodie was an opportunistic capture of one of three birds seen on the roadside on the Eglinton Valley end of the Homer Tunnel. Brodie was banded during a field trip of the Otago University Wildlife Management postgraduate group in September 2022. Brodie is named after one of the 2022 students, the camp mother Brodie Abel, whose enthusiasm for wildlife and work to preserve it is matched superbly by her kindness to everyone on the team. It was also her birthday! Long live Brodie!
