Enzed was banded in Arthur's Pass township in March 2026 as a fledgling. New Zealand (NZ) is home to many endemic birds, including Kea - the clown of the mountains. These birds are highly intelligent, social and mischievous NZ parrots. They are known for their playful, curious and often destructive antics. It is not a surprise that a group of kea is called a circus. Enzed (NZ) began his life in Arthur’s Pass, where the Barkley boys live as well. The boys were privileged to be involved when Enzed received his leg bands. He was named by the Barkley boys who love kea and NZ. If you come to visit Enzed and his friends in Arthur’s Pass you’re in for a treat if they are up to their antics. Please remember to be respectful of them, give them their space and Do Not Feed them. Don’t forget to keep an eye on your possessions if you want them to remain in one piece!
