Little Freddie H was banded at the Otira Viaduct Lookout (Deaths Corner) in early spring 2023 along with two other likely sibling first-year kea - Gracie and Awanui. Freddie H is the nephew of one of the kea team and came along on his first trip to Arthur's Pass for kea work with his Aunty and cousin and saw his first kea! The three chicks often hang out with Eva and Queenie at the lookout carpark.
