Gob

Gob was caught and banded by Amanda Greer at Deaths Corner in May 2012 as a fledgling. He was seen in December 2017 hanging out in the upper Otira valley with Screech and a young juvenile. Fledglings and juveniles will hang out with older birds that are not always their parents. While they are still learning to feed for themselves they will often beg for food from them. This involves lots of squawking with wings slightly out and head lowered.
