Jean

Jean was banded in the East Matukituki in mid February 2022 as a juvenile. Jean's sponsor Belinda has this to say of Jean; "This beautiful juvenile kea is named after our late mother Jean, who was an amazing woman. When thinking of a name, I immediately thought of the name 'Jean' out of respect to our incredible mum, who fostered in her children a love of nature and all animals. Jean was a very strong woman who was brave, resourceful, resilient and had many children, all attributes that I hope this young lady kea has or will develop. Long may she live and prosper."
