John John was banded as a fledgling at the end of February 2023 in Arthur's Pass township. He was with a massive group of other young unbanded kea. John John is named after a surfer in Hawaii. Just like John John the surfer, John John the kea started his craft in the art of being feisty early. This is a craft that will hopefully serve John John well throughout the rest of his life.
