This young male kea was caught and banded near the sea in the Tarakohe area of Golden Bay during July 2020. 'Keanu Leaves' was the winning name for this bird during a naming competition run by the team at Kūmānu Environmental (Nelmac) who sponsor and support the Kea Conservation Trust.
