Samuel was banded at Deaths Corner in August 2017 with the help of Marianne. He is a juvenile and was banded at the same time as Mactrac who is quite likely to be his sibling. Kea have clutches of up to 4 eggs but it is rare for them all to fledge. Samuel was named after the maternal grandfather of the sponsor. We are looking for a better photo of Samuel to be used as his profile picture.
