Victoria was caught at Chancellor Hut above Fox Glacier along with 34 other kea. She is named after Victoria Flat which is the lower part of the Fox Glacier. During the day that Victoria was caught there was a lot of exciting rockfall activity onto the Victoria Flat including a huge 'tombstone' boulder which had been perched precariously on the ridgeline above.
