Wendy

Wendy was banded in Arthur's Pass mid September 2021 as part of a large group banding. She is an adult and she was also fitted with a transmitter to log her movements as part of a current kea study. Wendy is named after Wendy White by her good friend Joan Hazlehurst. Wendy is one of the sponsors of the kea Aspro. Joan's interest in keas dates from three winters in the 1970s spent at the Christchurch Ski Club hut in Temple Basin in Arthur's Pass helping her then husband (Owen Wilkes), who was the caretaker.
