I’ve been around Fiordland area for a couple of days and I was lucky enough to encounter a few Keas. The reason I’m writing to you is because I was surprised to see them eating plastic. I don’t know much about this beautiful and impressive bird but I’m sure that plastic is not good for them. Is there anything you can do to avoid this situation??? Kea is eating parts of a truck and other road works’s stuff. I know is difficult to avoid but I think there are some things that could be done.
