Behaviour
Came to investigate us in a group of about 5 birds when we were assessing a tree for bat occupancy - bit disconcerting when they start testing the rope with their beak :P hehe, they were fine really - so cool to see them :) I didn't get a look at the legs of two of the kea so not sure if they were banded. The unbanded juvenile was still really yellow at the cere.
