Comments
The bird seems like it was begging for food. Dried food found on ground after it left. No sign saying don,t feed kea at this location.
Behaviour
Begging! Alone landed close after fly by. Very distant not seen call of one other bird. Approached 2 people and set closer than arms length moving back and forth for 5 ish min, when 2 more people arrived it flew off to to a distant tree. Seemed like it had been getting food. 15 minutes later erratic flight overhead calling a bit more of a distressed sound than typical " keea", grabbing at feet tucking heading down under body shaking in air and upside down twice.(no other birds in sight or heard at this time)
