A bus length before Homer Tunnel (the Milford Sound end).
Comments
Pretty sure it was a male but I could be wrong. I searched the data base but couldn't see him there. I'm sending you two photos.
Behaviour
Sitting in a little pool of water on a small bank just off the road, perhaps cooling off (It was pretty warm weather) or maybe he'd been playing with the plastic water bottle which took up half the space in the pool - but I didn't see that. He stayed still while I took a couple of photos then hopped out for the photo which revealed his band.
