A wonderful experience to see this group of Kea playing so near to me. None were banded that I could see. I am sending pictures and video to the email noted.
Behaviour
Flying above the observation point calling playfully it appeared. They then settled near the trail and were digging in the ground. They seemed unafraid and at times were within a meter of passing hikers.
