I think a "don't feed the kea" sign in this location would be beneficial! I imagine that people wait for the tunnel often, the kea see that and come by, and people will feed them. I spoke to the driver of the car that fed them, they didn't know what type of bird it was.
Behaviour
unfortunately cars ahead of us were feeding the kea. the kea liked to sit on the roof of cars and walk along side the road before flying off
