Single kea flew overhead very low, then landed on roof of house approx. 50m from where we were. It then flew and landed on ground where we were planting native trees. It then hopped around on the ground no more than 2m from where we were, checking out the trees we had planted. Yellowish cere noticeable, but not so much around eyes. Could clearly see it was not banded. It spent 3 -4 minutes on ground then flew off to a nearby tree before flying further away. Did not have phone so unable to take photos.
