5 birds came calling and squalking at each other and then the group all landed in front of me. I have photos ...they are all mixed up as all 5 birds were up to mischief by landing on some campervan, standing into the wind looking at me or jumping around packing at car tyres and flying around the large electricity pylon at the Otira Hwy Arthur's Pass lookout. We came back through this area at aprox 1215 and 3 of I assume the same group were still hanging around but two in particular were hanging around by the safety barrier of the highway and more worryingly a bird was also just standing on the tarmac of the road as we approached in our car. Lucky there were no other cars behind us or coming on the other side of road either so we slowed down took a photo and tried to verbally shoo the bird away from road. I have uploaded this info on another record on your database for 1215 on 2 June also. I have photos and will email them. Thanks.
