I met my first Kea at the Chasm near the parking lot at the end of the path to see the waterfall.
Comments
I am a retired professional ornithologist so this was a true treat for me to meet this Kea even if he was begging for food. I got to tell the tourists around why it is so important that they not feed the wildlife. Make my trip!
Behaviour
Walking around the parking lot approaching the tourists and then going back under their cars to stay dry in the pouring rain.
