Not 1 minute after our re-supply helicopter left, in came 6 curious keas. At first the landed on the rocks of Mt Ollivier. A single kea was sent on a recon flight.... he completed a couple of circles around the guiding party practicing their snow skills before perching on top of the roof. Soon joined by the others. Then the banded kea, Peter, perched ontop of the toilets. We hastily moved our supplies inside the hut. Peter then continued to play on the ledge of the toilet as it was 'in use' by unsuspecting trappers. It was funny to watch. The rest of the circus stayed ontop of the roof before flying off. Didn't see them for the rest of the day.
