Behaviour
Three kea flew into the car park from the adjacent forest, just after the rain stopped. They landed in the lot within 3 meters of people and moved among the vehicles roofs, sometimes pulling at attached objects, to the delight of us tourists and biologists. The birds were interacting little with each other. Two birds were unbanded, and one was banded. I have photos of the banded bird, identified by band combination as "Jack" at https://keadatabase.nz/birds/jack
