I could not match Bird#1 to the birds in the database. Bird#2 is closest to Captain Clerke #18029, except "He has a large leg band only (no small band)" does not correspond. The next closest match is Mauikatau (#18030), except that Mauikatau was banded as a fledgling in March 2023, whereas I saw (and photographed) an adult.
