Release of Hohoro, after nine weeks recovery for lead poisoning at the wildlife hospital. Great to see him again and in much better shape than the night we caught him in the village! We had a nice drive up and I gave him a good pep talk before opening his cage and true to his name he flew out in fine style instantly. It has been a meaningful experience seeing this through from start to finish, just like all the others and this being the final chapter for me with Kea Conservation. It was a priviledge to be involved with all the work in the field and the tasks I took part in with the kea database for all that time, I am proud of the things we achieved and the commitment you guys have to the project. I am always happy to assist in the future with kea catching or transport as I am so often up in AP, Wayne has me on speed dial pretty much and is always keeping me informed of all the kea news at his place. All the best 😊 Cam
