Was at Luxmore Hut as volunteer warden for week from 10-17 Oct. Observations above cover that week period. Green 5 and 2 were commonest visitors and worst troublemakers. Green 5 appears to spend all day working tourists from Luxmore Hut, Mt Luxmore and then over to Forestburn. The orange band was only seen twice and crouching behavior (female?) made it hard to read. Untagged kea were common, but saw 2 untagged at same time so know at least two unbanded in vicinity. Also skeletal remains of unbanded kea by the hut helipad.
